I have recently changed my major and I am focusing on teaching the visually impaired. I am still trying to figure out what technology I would use with my students. I am still trying to see how any technology that is computer based will help my students. My students will be more focused on learning through touch and that is somthing that a computer cannont provide.

When I was looking for USMC shirts I decided that while I ws searching the websites I would critique some of them. I came across one website, http://www.armysurplusworld.com/, that used the rules in the book very well. This website was very easy to navigate. I could easily find my way to the pages that I needed to see. It made looking for t-shirts a lot easier.

Currently I am not very experienced in the copyright and fair use of materials. I am focused on learning about this through my education on becoming a teacher. I am sure that I will gain ample knowledge on this subjuct through my classes.

  1. Actually, I have a few friends who are blind or visually impaired and they all use computers for homework and pleasure. If you like, I can ask them what kinds of programs they use and let you know.

  2. I was also having a hard time thinking of things that I could do with my class, as I will be teaching autistic students, they need more of the visual stimulation. Though are students will be very different I feel that we both have an obstical in using technology in our everyday classrooms.
